Boots

Link's standard boots. They have no effect, except for keeping Link's feet blister free.

Iron Boots

These boots allow Link to sink to the bottom of water and stand at the bottom. That wouldn't be such a great idea without the blue tunic (Items-Tunics). They make Link really slow on land, so besides looking cool, they aren't very useful on land.

Hover Boots

These boots allow Link to float over larger ledges. Link can stay afloat for about 3 seconds before plummeting to his death, so he should be sure he can make the jump before he does it. Sometimes platforms that he needs to jump to are invisible, so Link would need the Lens of Truth (Items- Miscellaneous). It makes Link slide on land, so if Link's not jumping over ledges, they're not very useful.
